Metrology Applied in Decision-Making for Land Planning

On August 18, 2023, the Journal of Metrology Society of India - MAPAN published the paper "Metrology Applied in Decision-Making for Land Planning: A Guide for Critical Analysis to Guarantee the Quality of Land Use and Cover Results". This work is part of the research carried out by the EcoMetrology Working Group of the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO - Rio de Janeiro), articulated with the Graduate Program in Biotechnology.

In this work, we seek to evaluate the applicability of metrological tools present in the ISO/IEC 17025 Standard (2017) as instruments to guarantee the quality of the results of land use and land cover, generated in the national context and prospected as means to carry out the mapping of Brazilian anthromes.
